Some of the Many Treatments We Offer

Aquablation is a minimally invasive treatment for men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), which involves removing excess prostate tissue. This procedure provides a more targeted and precise approach to BPH treatment, resulting in less pain and shorter recovery than traditional surgical methods.

InterStim is a minimally invasive outpatient procedure that lets patients regain control of their bladder. It is a small implant that can help reduce or eliminate the number of incontinent episodes, the number of times needed to use the bathroom, and help you sleep through the night. In many instances, it will also replace the need to take medications for an overactive bladder.

Rezum is a non-invasive, office-based BPH treatment requiring local anesthesia, offering patients a short recovery time and lasting relief from BPH symptoms.

Unlike other treatments that require medication or repeated office visits, Rezum provides lasting relief from BPH symptoms with a one-time procedure. If you are experiencing symptoms of BPH, schedule an appointment with us to learn more about Rezum and other innovative treatment options.

Urolift is a minimally invasive urological surgery for BPH treatment. This procedure utilizes small implants to lift and keep prostate tissue out of the way, opening up the urethra to improve urine flow through the urinary system. It requires local anesthesia, and patients typically have a quick recovery time.

Urolift provides an effective and long-lasting solution. This innovative treatment has dramatically reduced BPH symptoms and improved urinary function, allowing patients to return to normal activities with minimal downtime.

Fusion Biopsies

Fusion biopsies are a cutting-edge approach to diagnosing prostate cancer. This technique combines MRI imaging with a real-time ultrasound to create a 3D prostate image, allowing urologists to precisely target and biopsy suspicious areas. These highly accurate imaging tests provide more reliable results than traditional biopsy methods.

Inflatable Penile Prosthesis

An inflatable penile prosthesis or penile implants is a treatment option for men with ED who are not responsive to medication or other treatments. This procedure involves surgically placing an inflatable device in the penis, allowing the patient to achieve and maintain an erection. The device is activated by a tiny pump, allowing the patient to control the timing and duration of their erections. In addition to improving sexual function, an inflatable penile prosthesis can provide significant psychological and mental health benefits, boosting self-esteem and improving the overall quality of life.

Robotic Surgery

Believe it or not, robotic surgery as we currently know it has been around for over a decade. It has become the mainstay of many urologic procedures and is offered at Urologic Specialists of New England. Robotic surgery works by having the surgeon control the various instruments of the robot from a console positioned within the operating room. There is a surgical assistant at the patient’s side throughout the entirety of the operation. This technique allows for superior vision and dexterity, which leads to faster recovery times and better outcomes.
